This ugaadi issue of eemaaTa is made available in two different formats: the embedded fonts format and gif format. Please make sure that you could read the following line in Telugu script before you proceed to read the rest of the magazine in the embedded fonts format.
p{¨|ø çQ{¨m{¨ îd{Q}d¶ N¾l¨n zeöN¶d}?
If you could read the above text in Telugu, then you have passed the "maavichiguru" test and are ready to roll. Go to the mukha patram to read the rest of the magazine using embedded fonts technology.

If you did not see legible Telugu text displayed in the above box, it could be because of a number of possible reasons (if you have earlier been able to view embedded fonts, then look at reason #3 ):

  1. You are not using a browser that is capable of displaying embedded fonts.
Please follow the links at the bottom of this page to download Netscape or Internet Explorer with a version number greater than 4.0. You do not need to install any fonts on your system. (Note: If you are using a 68000 based Macintosh system, dynamic fonts won't work for you, because of a problem in the code fragment manager.)

  2. You have not enabled the dynamic fonts in the Netscape Communicator.
Click Edit on the menu bar, and then select Preferences. From within the Preferences dialog box, select the Fonts category under Appearance. (This may take a moment to load.) Ensure that dynamic fonts are turned on. Click the OK button when you're done. For Internet Explorer, the embedded fonts are always enabled.

  3. You have recently visited a different site with Tikkana PFRs (Portable Font Resources), like http://telusa.lekha.org or http://gaanasudha.lekha.org etc., and your browser is using the cached PFRs from those sites instead of loading the Tikkana PFRs from http://eemaata.lekha.org
If you still have problems with the display of embedded fonts, download the Tikkana fonts to your machine or read the webzine in the GIF format.

Special thanks are due to Prasad Chodavarapu for giving us a new release of Tikkana fonts - Tikkana 1.2. This version fixes a couple of minor problems with Tikkana 1.1.
