]]> by: విష్ణుభొట్ల లక్ష్మన్న http://www.eemaata.com/em/issues/200903/1411.html#comment-14769 Tue, 14 Apr 2009 17:54:51 +0000 http://www.eemaata.com/em/issues/200903/1411.html#comment-14769 కత్తి మహేష్ కుమార్ గారికి: వ్యాసం బాగుంది అంటూనే నిరాశ పరచిందన్నారు! అర్ధం కాలేదు నాకు. నేను రాయ్ సినిమాలపై కొత్తగా ఎక్కువ చెప్పటం లేదు అన్న విషయం, వ్యాసం చివర ఇచ్చిన పుస్తకాల లిష్టు చూసి, అందులో ఉన్న పుస్తకాలు చదివినవారికి అది తెలుసు కదా! నా అభిప్రాయంలో ఎక్కువ మంది చిత్రదర్శకుల గురించి తెలుసుకోటం కన్నా, ఒకరిద్దరు దర్శకుల గురించి లోతుగా అధ్యయనం చేసి అది ఇతరులతో పంచుకుంటే మంచిది అనిపిస్తుంది. ప్రస్తుతం, సినిమా ప్రపంచంలో రాయ్‌కి ఉన్న బహుముఖత్వం మీద ఒక వ్యాసం రాసే ఆలోచన ఉంది. రాయ్‌కి ఉన్న పరిపూర్ణత్వం చాలా మంది చిత్ర దర్శకులకి సినిమా తియ్యటంలో ఉన్న ఒకటి, రెండు అంశాలపై సాధికారత ఉంటుందేమో! సత్యజిత్ రాయ్ అలా కాదు. సినిమా నిర్మాణంలో ఉన్న - నటనా దర్శకత్వం, సిన్మాటొగ్రఫీ (కెమేరా పనితనం), ఎడిటింగ్, కథ, స్క్రీన్ ప్లే, సంగీతం, రూపకల్పన (డిజైన్), కళా దర్శకత్వం, కాంతిని దానితో పాటు శబ్దాన్ని ఉపయోగించే తీరు - వంటి విభిన్న అంశాలలో నిష్ణాతుడు కావటంతో రాయ్ సినీప్రపంచంలో ఒక పరిపూర్ణతను సాధించాడనిపిస్తుంది. ఇంత బహుముఖత్వానికి బీజం - సినిమా మాధ్యమాన్ని మథించాలి అన్న పట్టుదలే! పైన చెప్పిన విషయాల ఆధారంగా త్వరలో ఒక వ్యాసం మిత్రులతో పంచుకోవాలని ఆశ. పనికొచ్చే చిత్రాలు (అంటే నాకు అర్ధం కాలేదు), ప్రజలను అబ్బురపరచే చిత్రాలపై వ్యాసాలు రాయగల సత్తా నాకు లేదు. ఆ సినిమాలు నా వద్ద లేవు. లక్ష్మన్న కత్తి మహేష్ కుమార్ గారికి:

నా అభిప్రాయంలో ఎక్కువ మంది చిత్రదర్శకుల గురించి తెలుసుకోటం కన్నా, ఒకరిద్దరు దర్శకుల గురించి లోతుగా అధ్యయనం చేసి అది ఇతరులతో పంచుకుంటే మంచిది అనిపిస్తుంది. ప్రస్తుతం, సినిమా ప్రపంచంలో రాయ్‌కి ఉన్న బహుముఖత్వం మీద ఒక వ్యాసం రాసే ఆలోచన ఉంది.

రాయ్‌కి ఉన్న పరిపూర్ణత్వం

చాలా మంది చిత్ర దర్శకులకి సినిమా తియ్యటంలో ఉన్న ఒకటి, రెండు అంశాలపై సాధికారత ఉంటుందేమో! సత్యజిత్ రాయ్ అలా కాదు. సినిమా నిర్మాణంలో ఉన్న - నటనా దర్శకత్వం, సిన్మాటొగ్రఫీ (కెమేరా పనితనం), ఎడిటింగ్, కథ, స్క్రీన్ ప్లే, సంగీతం, రూపకల్పన (డిజైన్), కళా దర్శకత్వం, కాంతిని దానితో పాటు శబ్దాన్ని ఉపయోగించే తీరు - వంటి విభిన్న అంశాలలో నిష్ణాతుడు కావటంతో రాయ్ సినీప్రపంచంలో ఒక పరిపూర్ణతను సాధించాడనిపిస్తుంది. ఇంత బహుముఖత్వానికి బీజం - సినిమా మాధ్యమాన్ని మథించాలి అన్న పట్టుదలే!

పైన చెప్పిన విషయాల ఆధారంగా త్వరలో ఒక వ్యాసం మిత్రులతో పంచుకోవాలని ఆశ.

పనికొచ్చే చిత్రాలు (అంటే నాకు అర్ధం కాలేదు), ప్రజలను అబ్బురపరచే చిత్రాలపై వ్యాసాలు రాయగల సత్తా నాకు లేదు. ఆ సినిమాలు నా వద్ద లేవు.

I was the only Indian in the group. There was a discussion about the movie after the screening, though a 20 minute time was allocated for discussion, it lasted more than an hour. I was amazed and surprised at the keenness and critical way they watched the movie and participated in the discussion. I noticed: _ most of them have watched, if not all but most of the Ray's movies. _ they tried to draw parallel not only with other Ray's movies but with other Bengali and other Indian movies of that period. _ they had number of questions about the Bengali village life, local customs especially around the marriages. I tried to answer as much. _ "I didn't see much British culture or influence in the movie" one Questioned. Another answered : "There are few British writer's books in the shelf" of course there were some silly questions too. To make it short it this experience has changed my way of watching movies.
